Slowly, our galaxies were colliding.
A meeting astronomically abiding,
all while breathless desires heightened.
The peppered pass was a savored journey,
a star-filled dance elegantly curving.
Each winding with care yet left yearning.
A connection long lasting deep in the night sky.
Each sparkling against the others’ burning light.
So bright, we didn’t spot the shifts sailing to goodbye.
My pull was quite strong though our twisting was fate.
But the shadow far beyond still swept you away.
I tried to shine brighter, by then, it was too late.
Flash forward you are gone, and I am reshaped.
Floating frozen in solace, I must remain
in the void, cursing gravity-missing my soulmate.
