It’s been some time since my last post.  My summer class was rough and kept me very busy, but I can now say without a doubt, that I thoroughly dislike Statistics for Chemists…Thankfully, it’s over now, which means it’s time to enjoy the rest of my summer!  I thought I would kick it off, with the always enjoyable, SYW 😀

If you had to have your vision corrected would you rather: glasses or contacts? Or what do you use if you need to have your vision corrected?

simpsons, tv, cartoonsI prefer my glasses over my contacts, as I work a lot on the computer and contacts tend to dry out.  In fact, I happened to wear contacts to work today, and after I got done in the lab, I kept my googles on for some time without noticing…but I guess that beats pushing up the nosepiece on phantom glasses!  (which I also do…)

Are you more of a dog person or a cat person?
Dog!  I’ve had cats, and I don’t really mind them, but I developed allergies after a long hiatus of sporadic cat-sitting.  I like that I can pet a dog and not immediately run to the sink to wash my hands afterwards.  Besides ALL the other reasons people would prefer dogs to cats 😛dogs, pets, animals

If you were to buy a new house/apartment what is the top three items on your wish list?
front porch, nature, hidden
1. Fenced in backyard,
2. front porch where I can sit and drink my morning coffee, and
3. a property with plenty of trees, so I’m plenty hidden.

What inspired you this past week?  Feel free to use a quote, a photo, a story, or even a combination.

This might be a bit silly.  I took a mini-road trip with my friends this weekend, and the five of us decided to rent a pontoon boat for a few hours to cruise the Milwaukee river.  At one point during the trip, we found ourselves pretty far out, away from the crowd, and I took some shots as the sun was setting against the city.  I love that we all simultaneously sat in silence and took it in.  Sometimes I overlook those moments because I am too focused on class or the stress at work.  This past weekend inspired me to refocus on the little everyday things that bring me joy.  Heck, it’s half the reason I posted today!  So I hope to get back to it, and have more for you all soon 😀milwaukee, boats, rivers
