What was your favorite subject in school?
My favorite subject was always math. I loved knowing without a doubt I was right (no matter how infrequently it happened in geometry). In other classes, I would have to interpret this and extrapolate that, but in math, I had to find the one path to the correct answer, and I always loved that feeling when I did.
If you could have a servant come to your house every day for two hours, what would you have them do?
My apartment isn’t big enough to warrant a two-hour cleaning session every day, so I would probably ask them to spend that entire time playing with my pup Basel. He is full of energy and that’s where I feel I would get the most bang for my (imaginary) buck.
Where did you live when you were in the third grade of school? Is it the same place or town you live now?
While attending third grade, I lived in the friendly village of Worth. I’ve lived many places since then, but every town has been about 1-2 hours from Chicago. And while I’ve spent all this time here, I still have anxiety traveling downtown. I have never really felt like this is my “scene,” so I am hoping to establish that bond elsewhere eventually.
In your opinion, list some places that are great for shopping?
- Amazon.com!
- I interact with strangers face-to-face out of necessity, so this is definitely my go-to shop.
- Kohl’s (gotta maximize my savings with that guaranteed 30% off!)
- And pretty much any place I can buy candles, no preference
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
This one is easy. The Chicago Cubs have been putting up a good fight in the World Series (staying alive at least) and I am thankful they are taking the fight back to Cleveland for an eventual World Series W! For the week coming up, I am looking forward to the time change. I’ve long considered Daylight Savings (fall back edition) my favorite holiday. I love dreaming, so any night I can get an extra hour of it is aaaaaaaaaalright by me!

I used to be a huge baseball fan and I am keeping an eye on the Cubs. I hope they win, at the very least they are making the Cleveland fight for it. Thanks so much for sharing with us this week. Hope to see you next week.

Thank you! I actually got a last minute invite to the World Series, so I was in Cleveland to witness that epic game and historic event!!

I much prefer the fall-back change rather than springing forward. (Though I do wish it were spring instead of fall.) I’ve never been to Chicago. That pup does appear to be ready to play. I’m sure you have your hands full there!

I love the fall, because it reminds me that winter is coming, and I am a huge fan of snow (…so is Basel!) And you should visit sometime before it gets too cold/windy, we could use more people celebrating the Cubs World Series Win!
